Will Failla's attempt at a 6th Borgata Open title will come up short as he has been eliminated. Also joining him on the rail is Joanna Leban and Kelly Holes making Amanda Musumeci the lone female remaining in the field.

There are 21 players left as they return from a 15 minute break. On the last hand before the break Tim Whalen (Pittsburgh, PA) spiked a two outer to score a huge double up. Whalen had pocket 10's and was up against queens. A ten on the flop saved the day for Tim and he lives on to play another hand as he doubled up to 1.2 million in chips which is right at average stack.
