Last year this event drew 1,104 entries for total buy-ins of $220,800, more than doubling the $100,000 guarantee. A similar number is expected today when all the late registrations and re-entries are counted.
Two Borgata regulars battled for the title in 2012. Tom Colamaria (Brooklyn, NY) finally got his big score. He beat Joseph McKeehen (North Wales, PA) heads up and earned $46,650, the largest payday of his career. The win came after about 21 hours of play.
