Level 14: Blinds 1,500/3k/400 ante
Gil Sacks
Gil Sacks (Bala Cynwyd, PA) got all his chips in the middle holding A9 and was dominating his opponent's K9.
Then the flop came Q T 2, followed by a Jack on the turn, giving his opponent a straight.
Gil got up to leave, but then a King fell on the river, giving Gil Broadway and a much needed double-up.
Gil later got all-in against both blinds, who checked the flop, then bet turn and river. Gil had pocket 6s and had flopped a set. The small blind had pocket Kings, but the big blind had 42 and had turned a 6-high straight to take both the main and side pots. This time Gil busted.
Jimmy Wong
On a flop of 8 5 5, Gabriel Ohana bet, then Jimmy Wong (Brooklyn, NY) shoved for 32,900.
After some thought, Gabriel called, showing Q8 for a pair of 8s.
Jimmy tabled 54 suited for trip 5s. The last two were 7 3 and Jimmy doubled up to about 90k.
