Level 16: Blinds 2k/4k/400 ante
Sholom Lipsyzc
Roman Valerstein has surrendered most of his chips to Sholom Lipszyc (Brooklyn, NY).
Roman raised to 8,500 on the button and Sholom popped it to 28k from the big blind and Roman called.
On the flop of A 8 4 with two hearts, Sholom led for 50k and Roman flatted.
Turn was an offsuit 6 and Sholom shoved his last 163k in the middle. Roman called.
Sholom held 53 offsuit for an open-ended straight-draw.
Roman was ahead with A7 suited (pair of Aces, gutshot).
The dealer dropped a deuce on the river, giving Sholom the straight and the huge double-up to about 470k, good for the chip lead (in this room).
Roman was left with ~85k.
At the end of level 16, players got a ten-minute break while the black 100 chips were colored up.
