After about seventeen and a half hours of Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, Joe Palma emerged victorious. This is his first Borgata Open title.
He used to play at Borgata more frequently, until a casino opened closer to his home. Borgata tournaments are "run very well" Joe commented. "The dealers were very good at the end."
Joe's a poker pro that plays all the games. He has cashes in No Limit Hold'em, Omaha H/L, HORSE, Stud H/L, and Limit Hold'em. His only reported win before today was in No Limit Hold'em.
Joe "felt comfortable" all day. Although third place finisher Ryan Waddell held the chip lead most of the time until the final table, Joe was never very short or in bad shape. This tournament ran "real smooth" he said.
Joe is also taking a pass on the Omaha H/L event starting in a few hours. He'll be back on Monday for day 1B of event 8, the $500 + $60 Deeper Stack NLH event with the $500,000 guarantee.
