After battling back and forth for nearly half an hour with no big chip swing in either direction, we finally got a big hand vs big hand confrontation. The action started with Pablo Alvarez-Montoy opening the action for a raise. Trevor Deeter re-raised all in and Pablo made the call. Alvarez-Montoy had a strong heads up hand with A♣T♣ but he was trailing the A♥J♥ that Deeter held. The flop came A♦Q♠8♦ keeping Deeter in the lead. The turn was the 5♠ and Pablo would need a ten on the river or he would be the tournament runner up. The river was the 7♥ and Deeter was our winner with Alvarez-Montoy finishing in 2nd.
